Calling all Heroes for LIFE!
Come run, walk, stroll or FLY in our family-friendly 5K and 2 mile Fun Walk in Newark, Ohio.
Come in costume or your every day hero clothes! Enjoy face painting by Cheek2Cheek Designs, get your picture taken at the "Super Photo Booth", listen to some great music and hang out with The River Radio crew, take your kids to visit the Red Cross education booth, enjoy some great snacks and meet some new friends!
Through the generosity of our sponsors, all proceeds raised go directly to Heartbeats and the life-saving and life-changing services they provide to adults, teens, and babies in our communities.
Adult Hanes X-Temp event T-shirt guaranteed with early 5K registrations or Fundraising minimum met by August 27th. Excess T's and sizes available on a first come, first served basis on event day.
Important Information:
* Strollers are welcome.
* Please leave your furry side-kicks at home. No pets will be allowed on the race route.
* Children 9 and under must have adult supervision during the race.
* Please Note: Fees are non-refundable due to inability to attend or event cancellation due to inclement weather.
* Awards will be given to male/female over all winners and male/female age group winners.
Race Day:
Packet pick up, check in, and race day registrations will begin at 8 a.m
Race kicks off at 9:30 with fun walk to commence after.
Awards ceremony begins at 10:15 a.m
Course Description:
The race and walk will begin near the pavilion of Rotary Park. Both are an out and back course on a well paved public bike path. Both the 5K and Fun Walk turn around points are clearly marked with signs and volunteers. A water table will be a mile marker 1. There is a prominent hill coming and returning on the course. A fun challenge for all!

Heartbeats is a non-profit Christian ministry in existence since 1969. We are a 501(c)3 organization. We are non-political and interdenominational. We offer emotional, physical and spiritual support to those who find themselves in the midst of an unexpected pregnancy. Believing that Christ is the foundation of this ministry, we endeavor to model Him in every aspect. Obeying Christ’s command to love, we desire to be His hands and feet and provide the best possible services. We are committed to the sanctity of human life and believe God loves equally the women who come to us as well as the precious lives that many of them carry.
We serve all with free and confidential services and do not discriminate but serve anyone that walks through our doors with excellence and compassion. Our incentive-based pregnancy, parenting and life skills program “ Earn While You Learn” provides great avenues for whole health growth – personal, relational, parental, familial, social and spiritual. We also provide programs for post-abortion healing and sexual integrity.
Our premiere prevention program, Relationships Under Construction, has provided a risk avoidance approach to sexual health in our community public schools since 1994 and annually see over 3500 students. We have seen in the last decade teen birth and teen abortion rates decrease in Licking County by nearly 40%.

*Event T-shirts will be distributed race day for preregistered 5K participants and for registered walkers with at least $50 of confirmed sponsorship by August 27.
All other fundraising incentives will be ordered per color and size preferences after the event when all on-line and off-line sponsorships have been calculated for each participant. You will be contacted approximately two weeks after the event when they are ready for pick up. Sizing samples will be availableon race day.
